 Luxury Conservatories:

Adding one of our luxury conservatories to your property is a serious investment, but with sound advice and good workmanship it can make all the difference to your lifestyle.

Whether you are simply seeking a small haven to illuminate your leisure hours, or increased living space for a growing family, there is a wide range of styles and decorative options to create the appearance and ambience that will enhance your home and increase it's value.

Creating the perfect extension to your home means choosing the right style to complement both your existing property and future living requirements. Using today's materials it is possible to recreate the classic lines of bygone eras. For modern properties consider the contemporary flair of a P-shape with ceiling to floor glazing, or the simple, minimal lines of a Mediterranean style sun room.

The only problem you will have is choosing from the abundance of styles and decorative options available.

Advanced technology has created a range of of finishes to complete the perfect appearance to your ideal conservatory, allowing you to match the colour and style to the existing windows and doors of your home.

Choose from a deep Mahogany, or the modern appeal of Light Oak woodgrain. You can even enjoy a true timber appearance on the exterior of your conservatory, whilst the interior is pristine white to provide a light airy feel to your new living space.

Whichever you choose you can be assured of high performance insulation, thermal and weathering properties, to increase your comfort for years to come.

The doors windows and panels to your conservatory, or new porch, are designed to ensure that durability, security and functionality go hand in hand with visual appeal.

A wealth of decorative glazing options and PVC-U panels are available to create an individual appearance, whilst multi-point locking mechanisms on windows and doors, together with specialist glass types, such as laminated or toughened, provide high standards of security to give you peace of mind, without compromising on appearance.

Also to add the finishing touches, handles and openers are available to match the interior styling of your new conservatory.

Tips:

The only complaint we receive these days is that when the conservatory is finished it isn't large enough!! It may be worth taking this point on board during the planning stage. We also list below some helpful tips to aid our customers in their preparation.

  • If north facing good insulation and heating will be required.
  • If south facing additional ventilation and shading will be required.
  • An east facing aspect makes an ideal breakfast area benefiting from early morning sun.
  • West facing conservatories are ideal for making the most of afternoon and evening sun.
  • For correct ventilation conservatories should have at least 15% of their floor space given to opening windows and doors.
  • Glass offers the best sound insulation when it rains.

Planning Permission & Building Regulations:

One of the main benefits of conservatories is that often they do not need planning permission or buildings regulation approval. The World of Windows will inform you at the survey stage if these are required. We have included here a planning questionnaire for you to download in .pdf format (this means you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine). If you answer "Yes" to any of the questions on the form you may require planning permission.

Construction Diary:

Finally we have also made available for download in .pdf a construction diary which takes you through the various stages of a conservatory installation. We have tried to provide as much information as possible because we know at The World of Windows a conservatory is a significant investment and correct planning and installation will result in a worthwhile investment for the future.

Conservatory Air Conditioning:

The demand for Air Conditioning is now growing, for the simple reason that every Conservatory needs it. A vast market exists for Retro-Fit to existing Conservatories as well as new installations. The primary reason for this demand is to keep them cool in the summer, but Air Conditioning is much more than just cooling. All our units have Heating, Dehumidifying and Air Purifying settings.

Air Conditioning truly makes the conservatory a room in the house that you can use all the year round. A Conservatory fitted with Air Conditioning is rated much higher by Valuers, well in excess of the cost of Air Conditioning unit, enabling the House Valuation to increase by at least the cost of the Conservatory.

All our units are manufactured to ISO 9001 standard and carry the European CE Certificate. There are 120 quality control points during manufacture. They are tested to 6000 hour failure free operation in harsh conditions corresponding to ten-year normal use by ordinary families. A manufacturers' warranty is given and where units are faulty, they are replaced under warranty.

These Units are commonly fitted in hotels, offices and restaurants, as well as inside the home. Inside a conservatory they are mounted on the house wall, normally above the French doors. A separate condenser Unit is fitted away from the conservatory on the outside of the house, making these Units quieter inside the conservatory. All Units are simple to install, and Conservatory Installers will be capable of mounting the Units and running the hosing between them. Operation is by remote control with 24 hour multi operational settings that turn the Unit on and off automatically. Thermostatic Controls ensure a constant desired temperature for cooling and heating.

What Our Customers Say:

Mr. Leggett

When your operative finished and left, you would not have known any work had been done. All areas were left extremely clean and tidy. I was very pleased with the time the work was completed in. I was very dubious when I was given your quote by Mike, as it was below four other quotes, one of which was a company I had used for a back door and windows two years ago (to which I was also very happy with their work etc.) but their quote was the highest of all. I'm sure the type of business you are in is very cut throat, but it is very nice to know that there are still companies that give fair quotes and excellent workmanship. I will be having some more windows replaced within the year and will not hesitate in contacting yourselves to quote for the work.

Mr. Al-Darab

Your installation team (Sean & Mark) were excellent - professional, produced good quality work and were very helpful and pleasant.

Mr. & Mrs. Peterson:

Very impressed by the overall co-ordination of your staff and the fitters, extremely good and very well kept clean and tidy site. One of the best. Thank you very much.

Mr. M. Humphrey

Very satisfied with everything, the work was carried out well, materials very good. Engineer very proper with his work and very clean.

Mr. & Mrs. Gilham

The Surveyor we had was friendly, very clear, a real pleasure. The fitters done an excellent job and left no mess. I was very surprised on how little mess there was. One of my neighbours saw my windows and I know they will contact you for a price, and I told them only good as it was, and I will again to anyone who asks. We are so pleased the fitters made it all very pleasant. Thank you.

Mr. & Mrs. Sutton

The installer was very polite, worked hard and clearly I would recommend him to anyone.

Mr. & Mrs. Tucker

Please thank your staff and your fitter for their pleasant attitude to my wife and I. Your fitter was pleasant, worked cleanly and skilfully and nothing seemed too much trouble to him. As this was our first use of any double glazing firm, it was certainly, to us, hassle free. Thank you.
